Update on Lauren,
At this point, it is day 78 waiting on the heart & kidney transplant list. We have been receiving multiple inquiries about people offering to test to be able to give Lauren a kidney. We are so humbled and grateful for the offers but, unfortunately Lauren needs to receive her kidney and heart from the same donor. Thank you so much for the offers.
At this time Lauren's heart has begun to get a little weaker. The dr.'s have upped her heart meds, and told us she still has a little more room to work with the meds, before they need to start the conversation on what steps would be next. Lauren has been feeling shortness of breath now and then. The Dr.'s are keeping a close eye on her. Lauren is getting frustrated, which I cannot blame her for. Just trying to stay busy, and praying every day, we receive her call. Easter Sunday is approaching, this will be our 3rd Easter in the hospital over the last 5 years. It is what it is...
Lauren made a friend here in the hospital, Camille Frede. She has been waiting for a heart and lung transplant. She received her gift of life yesterday. At this point, she is stable. A good friend of mine Jim Murrell, know as the Transplant Helper, I reached out to him to tell him Camille received her transplants. Being the great guy that he is, put together this wonderful Youtube video. Thank you so much Jim, it is beautiful. Please take a moment to watch.
