Best visit in the world.
Lauren and her niece, Madison
Every weekend my son Mike & Katie and my granddaughter Madison come to Boston.
The last couple of days have been busy here with all the media, helping to get the word out to Gronk. Yes it has been exciting, it has been great for Lauren's spirit. We cannot say "Thank You" enough for all the support to the Boston News Stations, and the radio stations. Right now with all the interviews over we need to focus on Lauren's health with some extra rest.
This past week has been busy, and the timing with everything, Lauren's heart doesn't want to play nice. Her heart has been slowly getting weaker. During the week we made sure Lauren was getting the rest she needed and the doctors are watching her very closely, making sure she doesn't overdo it.
Lauren has been experiencing shortness of breath, from retaining extra fluids. They have been aggressively trying different diuretics including IV drips. Her heart meds that Lauren has been on since December through her central line then had to go up. At this point, they have told us there is still a little more room with meds adjustment, but if it continues to get weaker we will need to bring up other options.
Lauren needs her heart and kidney NOW. She is still nice and strong. In the hospital she has been able to walk around and even go off the floor. Last night she wanted to go off the floor, but her nurse didn't want her to go. Her heart rate was high when she just walks around on the floor. Lauren will do a lap around the floor, but lately she needs to take breaks, due to shortness of breathe.
If Gronk was to come bonus, the call we are praying for more is her gift of life a Heart and Kidney for Lauren.
Please feel free to share this post.
Thank You for all the love and support
