This morning the doctor came in to take Lauren's PA line out. It's going to be a great day. I told Lauren, if she wants any thing today she can get up herself to get it, LOL. Last night we played the card game rummy and loser has to buy lunch today. Well, I lost so lunch is on me. Lauren is able leave the floor to go to the cafeteria, then we are going to the gift shop for some retail therapy. Big day here.
Lauren's friend Gina sent us this prayer book. Every morning I read a prayer for the day. This morning's prayer was so beautiful I wanted to share it with anyone who is dealing with any type of a struggle, large or small.
For Strength and Courage
There are times when I act small in the world because I'm afraid to get out of my comfort zone. I'm scared of looking foolish, or failing terribly and letting people down. Yet, you've given me talents and abilities, and I long to use them for good in the world. Help me, God, to find that courageous lion within me and to go forward with trust and inner strength, knowing that whatever comes up, you'll help me through it. I pray for your will to be done in my life,and for the fearlessness that comes from having you as my rock and my foundation. Let me shine my light, God, and help me to not play it safe and miss out on the incredible experiences you have in store for me. Amen
