Living Life in the City
Anything is possible
heart transplant, inspirational story, organ transplant
Lauren is all dressed and just waiting for our walking papers.
We still need to wait for our teaching on her IV medication and pump. The company should be here in about an hour or so.
Lauren and I are very nervous about going home with her Life Vest and IV medication, but hell I told her if we could go home with her trac and the LVAD we got this.
They are letting us go home for Christmas, but they are also telling us to pack to come back in January. Unfortunately, Lauren is going to have to live in the hospital to wait for her Kidney and Heart Transplant. So we have a 2 week vacation right now.
My sister Laureen called me and said she is coming to stay with us to help out. She is packing her place up to be able to stay with us during our waiting time. I am taking so much comfort in knowing Laureen will be here with us. Not sure if we all can go through that part of life again, plus being a double transplant. Knowing she will be here, I feel we can handle it again. A very selfless thing to do. Thank you Laureen.
I also need to say "THANK YOU" to everyone for their prayers and strength you have been sending. It means the world to us.
Merry Christmas to all
