" On October 19th, CAMILLE FREDE (AGE 28) is a dual organ listed for a HEART/LUNG TRANSPLANT. After battling with PULMONARY ARTERIAL HYPERTENSION (PH) for 24 years, a heart/ lung transplant is now the only solution to SAVE HER LIFE
Last night the Dr.'s came to her and told her, "are you ready for surgery"?
Lauren and Camille have become great friends and support to each other over the past couple of months. Camille is on the same floor as Lauren, and to find someone her age and they both are waiting for transplants they have so much in common. Lauren is waiting for a heart/kidney, while Camille is in need of a heart/lung transplant. Thank God they are not the same blood type, so it's not who will get it first.
Well, last night around 6:00p.m., Camille heard the words she has been praying to hear. Lauren and I went to her room to check on her. Her parents were in Michigan, (that's where they live) need to get emergency medical airline tickets last night. Camille was excited and showed no fear. Her brother and a family friend were with her running around, making calls and trying to pack up her room. A lot of energy going on, while us three girls sat and talked.
They took Camille in this morning into surgery around 6:30. If you go on her Facebook page, Camille Frede you will see a video of them bringing her down into surgery. Her mother Nancy filmed her last moments before receiving her life saving organs.
If I may, please send prayers to the Frede family at this time. It is going to be a very long surgery, with hours and hours of worry. I hate to say this, but our family has experienced what is going through the parents minds, and we will be going through it again, with the hope of very soon for Lauren.
It gives us hope when you see things change around here, your not just sitting around wasting time.
Send prayers for Camille, a safe and successful surgery.
